“Jesus, Remember Me!” retells the exchange at the cross from Luke 23:39-43. Two criminals hang on either side of the innocent Christ. One mocks. The other sees the King in the suffering Man and makes the simplest, most saving request in history.
This song is a meditation on salvation by faith alone. We have earned death’s sting. Christ bears it in our place. No righteousness of our own is offered — only trust in the One who promises paradise to the undeserving, today.
It carries the weight of Scripture from beginning to end: the darkness at Calvary, the curse of the cross, the Lamb who takes away the sin of the world, and the sure hope that those who cling to Christ are set free — not by what they have done, but by what He has done.
